As part of this project, we researched the user experience in taxi services and discovered that cost is a significant barrier.
Our challenge was to find a way to reduce ride costs without compromising comfort.

We conducted interviews with random users, focusing on passengers rather than drivers.
We found that high fares lead users to avoid using taxis as much.

We discovered that compared to regular ridesharing trips, passengers are more likely to share a ride with strangers when the trip has a shared purpose, such as attending events like concerts, sports games, or large cultural events.

We created Uber Event to make shared rides easier and better by matching people going to the same event, at the same time.
It’s cheaper, more reliable, and feels more natural to ride with people who share your destination.
How We Solved It?
We adhered to Uber’s design system and added pickup points marked with Diamonds to both the starting point and destination.
